BHS Donates Pearl & Pine Painting

The Burlington Historical Society was given a large, beautiful painting of the former look of the homes near the Pearl and Pine intersection, donated to us by the artist in February 2017. However, with no public space to display this, it remained unseen.
The painting titled “They Paved Paradise” by artist Donna Fratesi, a long time Burlington resident.
In effort to give the painting more exposure, the Burlington Historical Society donated the painting to the Pearl and Pine Retirement Residence on Pearl Street in order to give it a permanent and prominent home in their facility. The event was held June 5th, 2026.
