About The Society
Originally founded in 1899 as a branch of the Halton Historical Association, our current embodiment was formed in 1960. The Burlington Historical Society is a completely volunteer led and managed organization that has been active for over 125 years.
Our Mission: preserve and share Burlington’s past for the enjoyment and education of the community by making our history accessible and relevant for today.
The Burlington Historical Society (BHS) is a registered charity and an affiliated member of the Ontario Historical Society.
