Historical Markers and  Boards

The Burlington Historical Society creates historical markers, posters and brochures on various topics and sites.  We have digitized a number of these creations and provide them online here

BHS History Boards

These large format boards have been created by the BHS for many historically significant topics, areas and communities across the city.

The boards are displayed at BHS meetings and special events.  You can often see them at Spencer Smith Park around heritage week.

This online slideshow presents these boards.  Use the arrows to navigate.  You can click on the images for a larger version of the posters.

For more information feel free to reach out to the BHS

BHS Plaques and Other Markers

The Burlington Historical Society, often working with other local groups, places historical markers, plaques and other media to provide a historical perspective to an area, building or community.  We present many of these below and encourage you to visit these locations in person.
